Taichung’s MRT lines are still not as dense as Taipei’s, so you can only rent a motorcycle or car to go to Gaomei Wetland, Sun Moon Lake or Alishan. If time is limited, it is recommended to take a one-day tour, which is simpler, more convenient and safer.
