About Xiahai City God Temple 台北霞海城隍廟

Xiahai City God Temple is a must-see for many people visiting Dihua Street and Dadaocheng. Xia-Hai City God Temple was built in 1856 and is located in Dadaocheng, a relatively developed port city in Taiwan at that time. Nowadays, people come here to pray for happiness in love and marriage. Every year on May 13th, the temple holds the annual “City God Birthday Parade”, and this celebration has been listed as an intangible asset by the Taipei City Government.
