About Taipei Botanical Garden 台北植物園

Taipei Botanical Garden was founded by the Japanese in 1896 which is an important place for plant research during the Japanese colonial period. Then in 1921 it was officially renamed Taipei Botanical Garden, the first botanical garden in Taiwan. The garden covers an area of ​​about 8 hectares and preserves plant species introduced from Taiwan, Japan, mainland China, and Southeast Asia at that time. To date, there are about 2,000 species of plants in the garden. Taipei Botanical Garden was a place for many Taipei residents to rest in their spare time and a place of fond memories.
